Come and join this beginners upholstery workshop, where you will learn how to strip back and rebuild a drop in seat. You will be introduced to traditional and modern upholstery technique whilst using a variety of hand tools. You will also find out about upholstery fabrics and learn about the many materials involved.

Alex Watson has taught upholstery at South Thames College for over 10 years and has an upholstery business here in Acton. Her classes are extremely popular, with students enjoying a fun and informative learning environment. Her personal style is colourful and fun and you will be encouraged to tap into your creativity and will come away inspired to transform your home furniture!  

The one day workshop lasts for 5 hours and you will need to bring your own piece to work on. All upholstery materials are included but please provide your top fabric. Some sharp scissors are useful if you have some.
